Billing

Billing Cycle

LayerStack’s services are billed at the beginning of the billing cycle. The billing cycle can be monthly, semi-annually, or annually, depending on the terms of the original subscription.

The longer payment terms you commit, the cheaper the monthly average. You can always change your billing cycle in LayerPanel’s Subscription section for a better price. Any changes to your billing date will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Time Zone

All invoices will reflect start and end times in UTC.

Currency

Your currency is based on the first subscription you used to purchase with your account. To change your currency, please create a new account and subscribe to a new service in your desired currency.

Monthly Billing Cycles

Monthly plans are billed by the calendar month, meaning the billing period always starts on the first day of the month. If you order a new service on any day other than the first day of the month, your first invoice will be due at the end of the month, and the amount will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. The next billing cycle will eventually be adjusted to the first day of the month from this point onwards.

Semi-annually and Annually Billing Cycles

For plans with semi-annually and annually billing cycles, LayerStack will send you a renewal reminder via email 7 days before the invoice due date. The service payments will be charged on the next billing cycle.

Auto-renewal

LayerStack subscriptions paid by credit card are set to auto-renew to ensure access continuity to your products and services. You may cancel the auto-renewal in LayerPanel’s Subscription section 14 days before the end of the current billing cycle. In which case, the service will then be terminated at the invoice due date.

Aggregate Invoicing

If your subscriptions are invoiced on the same day and/or you are making multiple subscriptions at the same time, LayerStack will group your subscriptions that share the same bill date into one single invoice.

Requesting Invoice Copy

You can download your invoices from LayerPanel’s Orders and Invoices section. You can also view your current outstanding balance from the page. Billing information is only accessible by the Account Owner, Billing Admin, and Billing Members. If you are unable to locate the invoice you are looking for or have questions regarding your bill, please send a ticket to our customer service team.

Account Suspension & Termination

Suspension of Service

All LayerStack services are prepaid services. Failure to make payment before the invoice due date stated on your invoice gives us permission to suspend any services that you have with us. Suspension of service may also happen to an account that is involved in activities that go against our terms of service.

Termination of Service

Clients can terminate service with us at any point by unsubscribing it in LayerPanel’s Subscription section 14 days before the invoice due date. In which case, the service will be terminated on the invoice due date.

It is unlikely that your service is immediately terminated upon the invoice due date. However, at any time after the invoice due date, LayerStack reserves the right to deactivate your cloud servers and delete all data if any outstanding bills (including the overdue charges) are not settled.

Limits

Invoices do not reflect the payments you may have made via Alipay or a credit card and do not serve as receipts for such payments.

Inactive cloud servers will still be billed. LayerStack maintains your saved data and reserves your ability to use other resources like RAM and network capacity, even when your server is turned off. If you wish to opt-out of the bill for a particular cloud server, please submit a cancellation request in LayerPanel’s Subscription section before the next billing cycle starts.

The outstanding invoice may lead to account suspension. During the suspension period, you will only be able to view your billing information and make payments to your outstanding invoices.
